About Kuchaman City

Kuchaman City - A Developing City in Nagaur District of Central Rajasthan, is approx 145 kms in the west from Jaipur (The Pink City) and 101 kms in the north from Ajmer. Having a Population of nearly 60,000, the city has gained an ideal identity in the businesses of salt and marble along with education. 

Thakur Jalimsinghji lead a foundation for a fort on a hill following the advice of the saint "BANKHANDI" who used to do his meditation on the same hill. He asked Thakur Jalimsinghji to place seven stones for the fort and gave him the blessing that he and his dynasty would be ruing the area upto the next seven generations.

After the inauguration the village came into existence gradually and prior to it a small group which was known as "KUCHBADHIYON KI DHANI" , on the basis of the same the name of the village was named as "KUCHAMAN"



The establishment of Kuchaman Kasba is as old as more than 254 years of which for 232 years there ruled "Jagirdars" and thereafter the rule of the current Rajasthan Government. 

From the 1st generation to the seventh generation of in the dynasty of Thakur Jalimsinghji, all were brave and smart and were recognised leaders of the then politics. Raja Harisingh who was from the 10th generation donated around 450 acres of land to the Kuchaman Gaushala for grazing died at an early age following heart attack. Soon after , Jagirdari Rule came to an end and now Rajasthan Governmenr is ruling the area.There are continuous cordinated efforts being carried on for the development of Kuchaman City
